THE RULES..........

Rules for adventure(we're always adding new rules)
1) Good family support back home. Thanks you grandparents, and parents for your support
2) Don't reserve hotel rooms. We gave ourselves one night reservation at the tahiti airport motel, due to suggustion from friend Jessen Vedell. It was so nice and convient for the area that we ended up staying two nights.
3) Try not to stay in hotels when possible. Not much can be learned of a culture in a five star american hotel room. The fact that we're on a shoestring budget also plays a big factor for this rule:-)
4) Meet as many local people as possible
5) Respect the land
6) Cook all our own meals unless, we've had a strong reccomendation to try local food. Again...shoestring budget:-)
7) Don't plan adventure: Adventure needs to just happen. You can't know what is coming next...if you know what's coming, disaster is less likely to strike. The stories from a fairy tail adventure are no storys at all.
8) Pack only what you can carry on your back. We packed a small sack of clothes, some for our warm climates and some for cooler Europe(to save money from having to purchase closes in Europe) We packed a small burner, a pot, a pan, a tent, two pads, two sleeping bags, matches, fuel(which would be confisacted by the airlines), non perishable food (to save on foodcost), Camera, computer and chargers(the heaviest of our belongings, so that we can share the adventure with you...you're welcome;-) ), wallets, passports, adventure books for tahiti, New Zealand, Europe on a shoestring, minimal toiletries (sorry monica:-( ), headlamp, speakerphones, ipod, lock, waterbottles from trav, journal from Jai that we write in everyday, Bible, surfboard, wax, wakeboard gear. phone card
9) No Cell phones.
10) If you think of something you should do on your adventure...as nike reccomends, "just do it"
11) rely on friends with experience for getting pointed in the right direction in each country.
12) try to ride a board in as many countries as possible
13) its alright to get hurt or lost...JUST DON'T DIE!

15) Be patient with eachother, rely soley on God to provide and direct our path.
